No.146 Magician Flushing Body parts

This is painting No.146 entitled, "Magician flushing Body Parts" painted entirely yesterday (July 6th 2010).Here the magician is dismembering and flushing the body parts of his assistant. As the viewer, you are uncertain wether witnessing a stage performance or a truly sinister act being committed in macabre privacy.A stage if real,or a kind of morbid mortuary if real.A dark "Disappearing Trick" for the assistant who never lived to knowingly participate.Sold to Kidderminster,Worcestershire,England.

No.145 Shark and Butcher

This is painting No.145 entitled, "Shark and Butcher" featuring on a 24x24" canvas.I wanted to capture here a kind of sinister karma, with a butcher out of context like a "Fish out of water".The mysterious black lumps in the foreground could horrified onlookers on another vessel, or rocks, or whatever your personal interpretation is conjured up.Sold to Halifax,West Yorkshire,England.

No.144 Encounter by Candlelight

This is painting No.144 entitled, "Encounter by Candlelight" on a 12x12" canvas, created entirely yesterday (July 4th 2010).The fly is oblivious to it's imminent death as the spider, by chance, stumbles upon this spooky funerial scene, it's presence completing it's sinister nature. The decaying apple attracts the fly, the fly attracts the spider, making the apple a kind of vaccum (Maybe the spider will soon attract a human with a swatter or rolled newspaper, bringing about it's demise?) with oils as always.Sold to Glasgow,Scotland.

No.143 An Aborted Genius

This is painting No.143 entitled, "An Aborted Genius" and features on a 12x12" canvas.I wanted to capture here the way abortion affects the world in a ripple effect, in terms of how the world would be today if aborted children were here (How would our world be if Shakespeare,Hitler,Beethoven were terminated?).It ponders whom we've lost without ever knowing.Sold to Halifax,West Yorkshire,England.

No.142 The Ballerina

This is painting No.142 entitled, "The Ballerina" which i painted very early this month (July 2010) on a 12x12" canvas. Here i have attempted to capture the unbearably thwarted career. The Girl is viewing herself for the first time in ballet class in the mirror following some kind of enigmatic tragedy and turns from the mirror towards us in utter mental despair. It has the "Christopher Reeve" quality of once being a Superman in terms of exceptional ability, only to have that cruelly stripped.Of course the wheelchair could be a metaphor for a drug addiction which can also degenerate performance.Sold to Israel.

No.141 Boy Stroking Cow with Hamburger

This is painting No.141 entitled, "Boy Stroking Cow with Hamburger" painted entirely today (July 1st 2010).This is based on a real life incident i experienced, whilst performing with my father several years ago in a musical duo at Sarre Windmill. There were various animals sporadically around, and i saw a boy of around five years old lovingly stroking a cow with one hand, with a burger in the other. This disturbing vision has stayed with me ever since.

No.140 Jailed Escapologist

This is painting No.140 entitled, "Jailed Escapologist" painted entirely last night (June 30th 2010).I wanted to capture the sheer mental and psychological torment of an imprisoned escapologist, who is condemned to remain in a situation he cannot get out of despite his experience and expertise in this field. The chaotic, disordered colours are a reflection of his state of mind,as being unable to escape has made him feel like his escapology was a kind of fraud,or causing him feel like ultimately,a professional failure.Sold to Suffolk,England.
