This is painting No.23 entitled, "Sunrise Before Tragedy" and was my first painting of April 2009.I was lacking a canvas, so i painted over a dreadful felt tip drawing i did of a Woolworth's shop.The painting represents the ambivalence i have towards a sunrise, as on the one hand it's a remarkably beautiful vista, yet is at the same time an omen of death, as it's the last sunrise somebody out there will live to see.Sold to London,England.
